Lewis Ingram Physiotherapy

About me

B Physio (Honours Class I) | PhD

My name is Lewis. By day, you can find me lecturing the next generation of physiotherapy students at Adelaide University or researching the latest trends in flexibility and exercise prescription. Outside of this, I try to keep at least one foot immersed in the clinical world by wearing my clinician hat on an ad hoc basis – namely on weekdays after work or on the weekends. I pride myself on being a detective by trying to find the root cause of each of my patients’ niggles. The upside of this approach is that I don’t anticipate multiple follow-up appointments – I’ll endeavour to provide you with the education and tools required to get you back to a clean bill of health.

As a former junior national and Youth Olympics champion and Australian representative in the sport of canoe sprint, before transitioning into a distance runner – combined with 15 years of clinical experience specialising in the management of overuse injuries, I’d like to think that I can provide a unique perspective to treating your injury.

Outside of academia and clinical practice, you can find me at Freedom Fitness each morning, you can hear me on Radio Adelaide every Friday morning, and you can find me drinking a large long black with hot soy milk at Seed & Stone.
